COLUMBUS – Columbus State freshman standout
Zallie Aristodemo delivered a breakout performance Saturday afternoon, earning Athlete of the Week presented by Chick-fil-A on Macon Road and Manchester after her impressive showing in the Cougars' 4–0 Peach Belt Conference Quarterfinal victory over USCA.
Aristodemo was everywhere on the pitch, finishing the match with one goal, one assist, and three points while posting a perfect 1.000 shooting percentage along with a 1.000 shots-on-goal mark. The forward made her presence felt, capping off a strong offensive day in twenty-one minutes of play.
A freshman from Clermont, Fla., Aristodemo is majoring in Kinesiology and is a graduate of Lake Minneola High School. Despite being new to the college game, she's quickly shown she can rise to the moment on the postseason stage.
When asked who has had the greatest influence on her athletic journey, Aristodemo didn't hesitate: "My dad, he's been my coach all my life, he's very passionate and a hard worker."
With her confidence soaring and the Cougars rolling, Aristodemo will look to carry that momentum into the semifinal round as Columbus State continues its postseason push.
