Robinson, Leal, and Harris Earn Peach Belt Weekly Honors

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Columbus State University Women's Soccer program swept all three Peach Belt Conference weekly awards, as announced by the league office Monday. Forward Mia Robinson was named Player of the Week, defender Sophia Leal earned Defensive Player of the Week, and goalkeeper Heidi Harris claimed Goalkeeper of the Week honors after a dominant two-match stretch for the Cougars. 

Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week – Mia Robinson 
Mia Robinson delivered an dominant offensive performance to lead Columbus State to a perfect 2–0 week. In two starts, she powered the Lady Cougars to decisive victories, with a 5–0 over Montevallo to start the week and and 6–0 defeat against Albany State on Saturday. Robinson scored twice and added two assists in the Montevallo win, then followed with another goal versus Albany State, finishing the week with three goals and two assists. Across both matches, she tallied eight shots (four on goal) with a .375 shooting percentage while playing 98 combined minutes. 

Peach Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week – Sophia Leal 
Sophia Leal anchored a disciplined Columbus State backline that allowed zero goals in two matches. Starting both contests, she logged 154 total minutes and added one assist to the offensive effort. Leal recorded one shot and one shot on goal for a perfect 1.000 shots on goal percentage, while committing no fouls or cards.

Peach Belt Conference Goalkeeper of the Week – Heidi Harris 
Heidi Harris was outstanding between the posts, earning back-to-back shutouts in wins over Montevallo (5–0) and Albany State (6–0). The senior goalkeeper played 157 minutes and 38 seconds without conceding a goal, posting a flawless 0.00 goals-against average and 1.000 save percentage. She made seven total saves, five against Montevallo and two versus Albany State, and recorded two clean sheets to cap an exceptional week in goal. 

The Cougars begin postseason play this Saturday, hosting USC Aiken at 2 p.m. at the Walden Soccer Complex for the Peach Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
