KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Columbus State University Women's Soccer team had five players earn spots on the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division II Women's All-Southeast Region Teams, highlighting another impressive season for the Cougar program.
Leading the way were junior defender
Kelsey Croft and senior midfielder
Sarah Hungerford, who both earned First Team honors. Sophomore defender
Sophia Leal and sophomore forward
Mia Robinson grabbed spots on the Second Team, while senior goalkeeper
Heidi Harris wrapped up her Cougar career with a Third Team selection.
FIRST TEAM HONOREES
Kelsey Croft – Defender (Jr.)
Croft started all 21 matches and played 1,663 minutes as the backbone of the Cougar defense, helping limit opponents' chances all season long.
Sarah Hungerford – Midfielder (Sr.)
Hungerford finished her stellar senior year in style, leading the team with 12 goals, 9 assists, and 33 points. Her ability to control the midfield and create scoring opportunities made her one of the region's top playmakers.
SECOND TEAM HONOREES
Sophia Leal – Defender (So.)
Leal continued her rise as a standout young defender, starting 16 games and logging over 1,400 minutes while adding three assists.
Mia Robinson – Forward (So.)
Robinson had an impressive sophomore campaign, scoring 9 goals with 5 assists, and finishing with 23 total points. Her speed and attacking creativity kept opponents on their heels.
THIRD TEAM HONOREE
Heidi Harris – Goalkeeper (Sr.)
Harris wrapped up a fantastic career with a well-deserved spot on the Third Team. She started all 21 matches, played 1,764 minutes, posted 15 wins, a 0.77 goals-against average, 57 saves, and finished with eight shutouts.
With All-Region selections in every area of the field defense, midfield, attack, and in goal, the Cougars once again showed why they remain one of the top programs in NCAA Division II women's soccer.
