COLUMBUS – Columbus State women's basketball responded to Wednesday nights loss against Flagler by defeating Lander 97-57.The Lady Cougars moved to (18-7,12-4 PBC) as the Bearcats moved to (11-11, 6-10 PBC).
First Quarter
After Lander got on the board first, the Lady Cougars responded as Bre'Lyn Snipes drained a three-pointer followed by a two-point jump shot. At the 7:15 minute mark, Letiya Reeves scored her one-thousandth point as a Lady Cougar. Columbus State went on to go on a 12-0 run against the Bearcats. Zuzanna Rudenko recorded her first three-pointer of the game off a shot clock buzzer beater to allow the Lady Cougars to go up 25-9.
Second Quarter
A layup from Olonna Rawls and Simone Lett helped dig Lander into a deeper hole as the Lady Cougars went up 31-13 two minutes into the quarter. The Bearcats went scoreless for the first four minutes of the quarter, but were able to get on the board and go on a 9-0 run to lessen the deficit. Reeves led the half with eleven points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Third Quarter
Lander opened the half with an easy layup as Rawls responded with a layup of her own.The Lady Cougars held a comfortable twenty point lead for the entire quarter. Snipes entered into the double digits as she led the quarter with six points. The Bearcats continued to have trouble getting points as they only attempted twelve shots from the field.
Fourth Quarter
Lett became the fourth Lady Cougar to enter double digits. In a span of three minutes, the Lady Cougars collected six steals as Rawls led the way with three. A Rawls three-pointer took the lead to 86-54 as a little under three minutes remained on the clock. Columbus State continued to outpace the Bearcats to go on a forty point lead as the game ended 97-57.

The Lady Cougars finished shooting for 51.6% (32-62 ) from the field, 42.1% (8-19 ) from the three, and 83.3% (25-30 ) from the foul line.
