The Lady Cougars (11-1) took two wins against the Eagles (9-8) taking game one 8-1 and game two 1-0.

Game One - Columbus State 8 , Carson-Newman 1

Columbus State saw themselves on the board first after Nova Wright homered out to left field for her second home run of the season. Wright brought in Ella Hopper who reached base due to an error by Carson-Newman to allow the Lady Cougars to go up 2-0. The Eagles responded in the second inning as they got a run on the board early with just one out. CSU found themselves in danger as bases were loaded, but with two outs, a fly out to center field from the Eagles kept the score 2-1.

Two hits in the second inning added another run for the Lady Cougars. Izzy Rippati singled to third and a passed ball allowed her to advance to second. Kara Wegienka brought in Rippati for a single RBI to make the score 3-1. A single and stolen base for Mary-Catherine Sorrell landed her on second base as Holly Lynn stepped up to the plate to hit a single out to left field to bring in Sorrell.

Wright collected the first hit of the fourth inning after she smashed a double down the line. A home run by Anna Waites brought in Wright for two more runs for Columbus State. Holly Lynn added her fourth homerun for the week during an opening pitch in the bottom fifth. Another hit by Wegienka allowed Gracyn Gurley to collect a run for CSU.
