PENSACOLA, Fla. – Columbus State women's tennis traveled West Florida on Thursday afternoon for a battle on the panhandle in Pensacola.
The Cougars (6-4) dropped the match against the Argonauts (9-5) in a 5-2 defeat on the road.
Both the #1 and #2 doubles matches were won by the Argonauts while Isadora Oliveira and Sofia Lauretti's match at #3 doubles was left unfinished at 5-5. Columbus State picked up two team points in singles play.
Mariana Ramirez secured #2 singles over Sandra Recuenco with wins of 6-2 and 7-6 in the second and third sets after falling 7-5 in the opening frame.
Sofia Lauretti captured #5 singles with 6-3 and 6-2 wins against Luiza Daud.
