LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Columbus State women's tennis traveled to Livingston, Ala. for a non-conference match at West Alabama on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Cougars (8-4) faced the Tigers (8-4) in a tightly contested battle, securing a 4-3 road victory.
West Alabama opened by securing both #1 and #2 doubles to for the first team point of the match, leaving #3 doubles unfinished. Heading into singles play, Nikoline Gullacksen captured a three-set victory from the #1 position, responding to a 6-4 set one loss with 6-0 and 6-3 wins.
Columbus State followed with wins at lines three, four, and five for a total of four team points. At #3 singles, Laura Pesickova went 7-6, 2-6, and 7-5 while Sofia Lauretti wen 6-4, 2-6, and 6-4 at #4 singles. Isadora Oliveira wrapped up with a win at #5 singles 7-5 and 6-4.
