Box Score 2 COLUMBUS - Columbus State softball defeated Georgia Southwestern on Saturday afternoon in a Peach Belt Conference doubleheader. The Cougars (32-24, 11-13 PBC) finished the three-game series with two wins on Senior Day against the Hurricanes (24-25, 8-16) taking game one 5-0 and game two 4-1.

Game one the Cougars' scoring started when
Holly Lynn singled through the right side, and
Gracyn Gurley scored that gave the Lady Cougars a 1-0 lead. Columbus State followed with another score in the first inning after
Anna Waites fielder's choice to center field scored
Mary-Catherine Sorrell to end the scoring for CSU.
Lynn hit a home run to left center that scored
Nova Wright in the bottom of the fifth inning to end scoring for the Cougars on the day in the 5-0 win.
Lily Milly pitched a complete game shutout only giving up one hit, striking out three with one walk against the Hurricanes that earned her win number eleven on the season.

Game Two - Columbus State 4, Georgia Southwestern 1
Senior
Julianna Franklin pitched in the circle for the Cougars allowing one run on eight hits, striking out three to earn win number seventeen for the season.
Abrianna Green was 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run to left field in the first inning and a home run to center field in the sixth inning in the 4-1 victory over Georgia Southwestern.
Holly Lynn was the leading hitter for the Cougars, going 3-for-3 with a run scored and three RBIs. She hit a home run to left center field
Nova Wright scored on the play.
