Julianna Franklin Earns NFCA First Team All-Region Nod

The senior lefty earns the program's first all-region honors since 2023

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Columbus State University softball's Julianna Franklin has been named to the 2025 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II All-Southeast Region First Team, the national association announced on Thursday afternoon.

The Leesburg, Ga. native is the first CSU pitcher to earn First Team honors since the 2023 season after having a standout season in her senior campaign. A week ago, the lefty was named Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-PBC.

Franklin wrapped up the 2025 season with a 17-13 record, recording 29 starts in 34 appearances in the circle. She marked a 2.21 ERA with five shutouts, tossing for 199.1 innings and striking out 158 batters in the process. Franklin was one of three PBC players to land on the First Team list while four others made the Second Team list.

The full list of NFCA All-Region selections can be found here.

NFCA's All-Region awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's eight regions with first and second-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated their student-athletes and voted for the teams. All the honorees are now eligible for selection to the 2025 NFCA Division II All-America squads.
