Columbus State Women’s Soccer Ranked No. 2 in United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll

CSU Women's Soccer will open up 2025 as the No. 2 team in Division II

COLUMBUS Columbus State University women's soccer is kicking off the 2025 season right where they left off, with national recognition. The Lady Cougars have earned the No. 2 spot in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll released this week.

CSU remains close to the top of Division II ranks after closing out the season at the No. 2 position with a 22-1-2 overall record, an NCAA Final Four appearance, and two Peach Belt Conference titles in 2024.

For 2025, Columbus State will face five teams that rank within the preseason top 25 with two others receiving votes. Those with rankings are No. 7-ranked West Florida, No. 12 North Georgia, No. 19 Montevallo, No. 21 Florida Tech, and No. 23 Catawba. CSU is also set to face Lander and Lenoir-Rhyne, both of which are receiving votes.

Columbus State women's soccer has built a rich tradition of success regionally and nationally, becoming a perennial power in Division II. The standard will remain the same this season as Head Coach Jay Entlich and crew look to capture the program's 16th PBC Championship and make a deep run in the national tournament with the ultimate goal of a national title.
