CALERA, Ala. – The Columbus State University women's golf team wrapped up competition at the Full Moon BBQ Invitational on Tuesday, finishing fourth with a three-round score of 88-over. Additionally, sophomore
Sydney Himes finished fifth individually.
The tournament, hosted by the University of Montevallo was a two-day affair, with the Cougars finishing day one in fourth, following a round one score of 314 (+30) and a round two score of 320 (+36).
Tuesday's action consisted of the third and final round, where the Cougars shot 306 (+22) to close the tournament.
Individually,
Peyton Maraman led the way with a 73 (+2), moving up seven spots on the leaderboard and finishing ninth overall. Himes totaled a 76 (+5) third round score, good for a fifth-place finish in the tournament.
Natharyia Phimsoutham finished seven over, totaling a 78 third round score to finish 24
th in the tournament, while
Anna Holley shot a 79 (+8) in Tuesday's round to finish 20
th.
The Cougars return to action Sept. 22-23 at the Savannah Lakes Invitational hosted by Lander. Play will consist of two rounds on Monday with a third round to follow on Tuesday.
