COLUMBUS, Ga. – Four members of the Columbus State women's golf program were named to the 2025-26 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced Monday.
Freshmen Mia Arroyo and Anna Holley, along with sophomores Samantha Dewendt Morales and Sydney Himes, earned the prestigious academic honor.
The WGCA All-American Scholar Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and on the course. To be selected, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50, remain on the team's roster through the conclusion of the season, compete in at least 50 percent of the team's regularly scheduled rounds through the conference championship, and maintain amateur status.
Arroyo enjoyed a strong freshman campaign, competing in eight stroke-play events while posting a 77.1 adjusted scoring average. She recorded a fourth-place finish at the CSU Lady Cougar Classic and placed 11th at the Peach Belt Conference Championship.
Holley competed in six stroke-play events during her freshman season and earned a top-20 finish at the Montevallo Invitational.
Dewendt Morales competed in nine stroke-play events during her sophomore season and received Peach Belt Conference All-Academic Team recognition. She highlighted her year with a 16th-place finish at the Montevallo Invitational.
Himes turned in one of the top seasons for the Cougars, competing in all 10 stroke-play events while posting a 77.7 adjusted scoring average. She captured medalist honors at the Oldfield Intercollegiate and added top-25 finishes at the Battle at Hilton Head and the Ralph Hayes Toyota Division II Elite Invitational. Himes also earned Peach Belt Conference All-Academic Team recognition.
The WGCA recognized 1,551 women's collegiate golfers across all divisions as 2025-26 All-American Scholars.
