SALISBURY, N.C. – The Columbus State University Women's Soccer team earned a hard-fought 1–1 draw on the road Friday afternoon against unbeaten Catawba College at Frock Field. The result moves the Lady Cougars to 4-3-1 on the season, while the Indians remain undefeated at 6-0-1.
Catawba struck first in the 28th minute when Bree Ehmer found space and finished unassisted to put the Indians ahead 1–0. The goal capped a balanced opening half where CSU's back line absorbed pressure while goalkeeper
Heidi Harris made key saves to keep the deficit at one. Harris finished with two saves across the 90 minutes.
The Lady Cougars responded after the break with renewed energy, and the equalizer came in the 63rd minute.
Mia Robinson slotted home her second goal of the season off a well-placed assist from
Sarah Hungerford, leveling the match at 1–1. Columbus State continued to push forward, generating seven shots overall, including three on target.
