COLUMBUS – Columbus State University Women's Basketball player
Letiya Reeves was named Columbus State Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Chick-fil-A on Macon Road and Manchester Expressway, following a strong two-game stretch in Peach Belt Conference play.
Reeves opened the week with a solid game against the University of South Carolina - Aiken on January 7, finishing with 11 points on 4-of-16 shooting, including 2-of-6 from beyond the arc and 1-of-2 at the free-throw line. She added six rebounds, one assist, and one steal in the contest.
She followed with an all-around performance against the University of South Carolina - Beaufort on January 10, pouring in 24 points in just 26 minutes. Reeves shot 8-of-19 from the field, knocked down three three-pointers, and went 5-of-6 at the free-throw line while contributing six rebounds, two assists, a career-high eight steals, and two blocks in a complete performance on both ends of the floor.
A senior from Newnan, Ga., Reeves is a graduate of East Coweta High School and is majoring in Business Management with a minor in Accounting. When asked about the significance of her uniform number, Reeves shared, "My mom and one of my first basketball coaches wore number 11."
Reeves continues to be a key leader for the Lady Cougars, providing consistent production, defensive pressure, and veteran presence as Columbus State continues conference play.
