Columbus State Athletics Accepting Hall of Fame Nominations for 2027 Class

COLUMBUS, Ga. | Columbus State Athletics is accepting nominations for the 2027 Columbus State University Athletic Hall of Fame class. Both the 2026 and 2027 classes will be honored on February 13th during the Cougars' basketball doubleheader against Georgia College at the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center.

Beginning with the Class of 2027, updated eligibility requirements provide additional opportunities to recognize longtime contributors to CSU Athletics. Nominees generally must be at least five years removed from the University following the service for which they are nominated, with the waiting period beginning after their final academic year of participation or service.

Former coaches, athletic officials, staff members, and other University representatives who completed at least 15 years of continuous service may be considered immediately upon retirement or departure. Those who have completed at least 25 years of service may be considered while still actively employed by the University.

Individuals may also be considered for contributions outside of direct athletic participation that have significantly and positively impacted student-athletes, enhanced the athletic experience, or advanced the mission of CSU Athletics.

Nominations will be reviewed by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
