COLUMBUS — The Columbus State University Softball team dropped a 5-2 decision to Mars Hill University on Friday afternoon at Cougar Field in Cougar-Hurricane Classic.
Columbus State answered in the bottom half of the first when
Aubree Ussery launched a two-run home run to left field, scoring
Carlee Wilson.
The Cougars were unable to generate additional offense the rest of the way, finishing with three hits. Wilson recorded a double, while
Ella Hopper added a single.

Lily Miller (2-2) took the loss after working a complete seven innings, and allowed five runs on six hits and one strikeout.
Records: Columbus State falls to 4-4 overall, while Mars Hill improves to 5-1.
