COLUMBUS — Columbus State University Softball player
Holly Lynn has been named the Columbus State Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Chick-fil-A on Macon Road and Manchester Expressway, following a strong opening weekend at the Embry-Riddle Invitational.
Lynn helped power the Cougars' offense in the 2026 season opener against Mount Olive on January 31, going 1-for-3 at the plate with a solo, game-winning home run and one RBI, while also scoring a run in Columbus State's victory. She followed that performance later in the day against Ferris State with a 2-for-3 outing, crossing the plate once more to help fuel the Cougars in their win.
A graduate student from LaGrange, Ga., Lynn is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Columbus State after graduating from LaGrange High School. She continues to make an impact both athletically and academically while representing the Cougar Softball program.
When asked about her most memorable game at the collegiate level, Lynn said, "The game we won against the University of North Georgia to win the conference championship."
