COLUMBUS – The Columbus State University Women's Basketball team opens tournament action this Wednesday, as they are set to host Lander University for the quarterfinal round of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament on Wednesday, March 4. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. ET at the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center in Columbus, Ga.
The Lady Cougars are the No. 1 seed in the tournament following an 18-2 conference record, which earned the team hosting honors for the quarterfinals. Higher seeds will host as the tournament continues.
Wednesday's match-up marks the start of the PBC Tournament, where eight of the conference's programs compete for a spot in Saturday's semifinals. The Lady Cougars look to claim the Peach Belt Tournament Championship after claiming the Regular-Season Championship.
Both teams met earlier this season in Columbus, Ga., with Columbus State claiming a 77-61 win, and in Greenwood, S.C., Columbus State won 70-56.
