AUGUSTA, Ga. — Columbus State University sophomore Sydney Himes has been named the Peach Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week following her standout performance at the Oldfield Intercollegiate, held at Oldfield Golf Course and hosted by the University of South Carolina Beaufort.

Himes delivered one of the top individual performances of the tournament, finishing tied for first overall at 5-over par to earn co-medalist honors. The sophomore carded rounds of 1-over in the opening round and 4-over in the final round, leading the Lady Cougars throughout the two-day event.

Behind Himes' performance, Columbus State secured a second-place team finish in a competitive field. The Lady Cougars posted a two-round score of 40-over par, improving from a 22-over par opening round to an 18-over par final round to clinch the runner-up spot.

Himes' weekly honor marks a significant recognition of her consistency in the lineup, as she continues to be a key contributor for Columbus State Women's Golf this season.
