COLUMBUS, Ga. | Columbus State Women's Soccer will take the field in pink jerseys against Clayton State on Saturday, Oct. 3, to honor breast cancer survivors and those currently fighting breast cancer. The Cougars hope by wearing these jerseys, we can bring greater awareness to the cause as early detection can help save lives.

The specialty jerseys will be auctioned during the match at Walden Soccer Complex. Fans can bid on their favorite Cougar's jersey for a chance to take home a pink CSU soccer jersey after the game.

The Cougars enter Saturday's 1 p.m. match at 6-2-2 overall and 2-0-2 in Peach Belt Conference play. Last Wednesday, CSU rallied from a 3-1 deficit to defeat North Georgia 4-3. Three days later, the Cougars erased a 2-0 deficit at Flagler to earn a 2-2 draw.

Clayton State enters the week at 5-2-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The Lakers are among three teams tied for the PBC lead with nine points, while Columbus State sits one point back with eight. Clayton State will visit Anderson on Wednesday before traveling to Columbus.
