AUGUSTA, Ga. — Columbus State University Softball junior infielder
Izzy Ripatti has been named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday, May 4.
Ripatti earned the weekly honor after a standout series against Lander, delivering an impressive performance at the plate and in the field for the Cougars.
The junior went 4-for-5 at the plate for an .800 batting average, totaling five runs scored, one double, three home runs and six RBIs across the three-game Peach Belt Conference series. Ripatti provided key power production throughout the weekend, helping lead the Columbus State offense.
Defensively, Ripatti was perfect in the field, recording 13 total chances with eight putouts, five assists and no errors for a 1.000 fielding percentage.
