Cougars Earn 185 Selections on PBC Presidential Honor Roll

COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has released the 2025-26 Presidential Honor Roll, presented by Barnes & Noble College. The Honor Roll recognizes the outstanding academic achievements of PBC student-athletes who compete in the league's championship sports at both full member institutions and associate member institutions. 

Columbus State was represented by 184 student-athletes who combined for 185 Presidential Honor Roll selections after posting a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the academic year. The Cougars produced 72 Gold Scholars, 42 Silver Scholars, 37 Bronze Scholars, and 34 Presidential Scholars. The honor roll has been divided into four groups: Presidential Scholars, Bronze Scholars, Silver Scholars, and Gold Scholars. All student-athletes with a GPA from 3.0 to 3.24 are Presidential Scholars, while Bronze Scholars are 3.25 to 3.49, Silver Scholars are 3.50 to 3.74, and Gold Scholars are those with a 3.75 to 4.00. 

Program Breakdown:

Men's Track & Field led all Cougar programs with 32 selections, including 10 Gold Scholars, five Silver Scholars, seven Bronze Scholars, and 10 Presidential Scholars. 

Women's Soccer and Baseball each produced 27 selections. Women's Soccer led all Cougar programs with 14 Gold Scholars while also earning seven Silver Scholars, five Bronze Scholars, and one Presidential Scholar. Baseball totaled seven Gold Scholars, eight Silver Scholars, seven Bronze Scholars, and five Presidential Scholars. 

Women's Track & Field recorded 20 selections, highlighted by seven Gold Scholars, six Silver Scholars, two Bronze Scholars, and five Presidential Scholars. 

Softball earned 17 selections on the Honor Roll behind 10 Gold Scholars, four Silver Scholars, and three Bronze Scholars. 

Women's Basketball totaled 16 selections, including eight Gold Scholars, two Silver Scholars, four Bronze Scholars, and two Presidential Scholars. 

Men's Basketball added 15 honorees with one Gold Scholar, four Silver Scholars, five Bronze Scholars, and five Presidential Scholars. 

Women's Tennis recorded 10 selections with five Gold Scholars, two Silver Scholars, and three Bronze Scholars. 

Women's Golf produced nine honorees, including five Gold Scholars, one Silver Scholar, and three Presidential Scholars. 

Men's Golf and Men's Tennis each recorded six selections. Men's Golf was represented by two Gold Scholars, one Silver Scholar, one Bronze Scholar, and two Presidential Scholars, while Men's Tennis featured two Gold Scholars, two Silver Scholars, one Bronze Scholar, and one Presidential Scholar. 

Kirk Seeley earned Presidential Honor Roll recognition in two sports, collecting honors as a member of both the men's basketball and men's track & field programs. 

A total of 2,096 student-athletes were recognized across the Peach Belt Conference, including 1,861 honorees from the league's core members and 235 from associate members. The 2025-26 academic year marked the first time the conference recognized more than 2,000 student-athletes on the Presidential Honor Roll and the sixth consecutive year the PBC honored more than 1,500 student-athletes. The conference has now recognized at least 1,000 honorees in each of the last 16 years.
