Stuart Mills-Wells joined the Columbus State men's basketball coaching staff as a graduate assistant in 2025.

During his first season on the bench, Mills-Wells helped the Cougars post a 23-9 overall record and a 15-5 mark in Peach Belt Conference play. Columbus State advanced to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament semifinals before earning an NCAA Division II Southeast Regional berth. The Cougars defeated Catawba in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament to finish the season with 23 victories.
