Zach Whaanga

Zach Whaanga is entering his first year as a graduate assistant coach for the Columbus State University men's tennis program.

A former Cougar tennis player, Whaanga was a member of the team who won the 2018 Division II National Championship team. Whaanga earned the Peach Belt Conference Doubles Most Valuable Player in 2018 and was named to the All-PBC First Team for Singles and First Team for Doubles. He also was chosen for the PBC All-Academic Team in 2017.

Whaanga also worked as a Public Relations Officer for Tennis Academy Rock in Columbus for a year.

A native of Waikanae, New Zealand, Whaanga received his bachelor's degree in communications, and is now pursuing a master's degree in organizational leadership.
