FLORENCE, S.C. – The 16
th-ranked Columbus State University women's soccer team had its offense on display again Saturday, racing to an 11-1 victory at Francis Marion. The Peach Belt Conference match was played at Hartzler Field.

This marks the second time in three matches the Lady Cougars have tallied 11 goals.

"We keep putting ourselves in good positions on the offensive end," head coach
Jay Entlich said. "We have worked very hard this year on trying to be more efficient in front of the goal and we are continuing to make progress."

Riley Clark opened the scoring for Columbus State (10-1-0, 7-1-0 PBC) with her ninth goal of the season less than minutes into the match.

The match held at 1-0 for the next 20 minutes, but the floodgates would open in the final 15 minutes of the first half.

Kelly Hendricks,
Meghan Cottingham and
Tehgan Anguilm all got on the board before the break to open up a 5-0 advantage for the Lady Cougars.

After 12 scoreless minutes to start the second half, CSU got rolling once again.
Olivia Jarrell tallied in the 58
th minute and Hendricks found her second less than a minute later. Jarrell would score again in the 63
rd minute, giving her eight goals in the last five matches and moving her into a tie for third on Columbus State's all-time points list.

Cottingham found a second goal in the 64
th minute and completed a hat trick three minutes later. It's the first of her collegiate career and second for the Lady Cougars this season.

Francis Marion (4-7-0, 1-6-0) registered its only goal of the match in the 74
th minute, before
Caitlyn Peterson scored her first collegiate goal to cap the scoring for CSU.

Bria Riancho played 45 scoreless minutes in goal for the victory. The freshman has now allowed just two goals in the last six matches.

Columbus State will play its final two home regular season matches next week, starting with Belmont Abbey on Wednesday. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Walden Soccer Complex.
