COLUMBUS – In it's lone home meet of the regular season, the Columbus State University men's and women's cross country teams had a pair of top-three showings on Saturday at the Cougar Classic. The meet was hosted at Stewart Field on Fort Benning.

The Cougar men had three top-10 finishers and took home the runner-up position, while the Lady Cougars tallied a third-place finish.

Wright Calhoun was the fastest Cougar on the course for the third straight meet, running the 8k course in 26:21.51 for fourth place overall.
William Michael ran his best meet of the season on Saturday, taking seventh place in a time of 26:52.70.
Isaac Krumm followed in right behind him at 27:01.74 in eighth.

Noah Hollis (27:13.48) and
Christopher Oswald (27:43.21) rounded out the team scoring for the Cougars in 13
th and 19
th place, respectively.

Alli Hay continued to pace the Lady Cougars with the first top-10 finish of her collegiate career on Saturday. The freshman covered the 5k course in 18:58.46 for sixth place.

Eva Salazar Torres took home 16

Na'ilah Allen ended 23
rd in 20:28.37.

Jastonie Hill (21:20.04) ran 31

rd, respectively, to wrap up the team portion of the score.

Columbus State has one meet remaining in the regular season, as the two teams will head to Tallahassee, Fla. on Oct. 6 for the FSU Invitational.
