COLUMBUS – The Columbus State University men's tennis team lost just one game over nine matches in a 9-0 victory over Morehouse on Friday. The match was played at the John W. Walden Tennis Center.

Columbus State (2-0) was perfect in doubles play, sweeping its way through three matches. Second-ranked
KP Pannu and
Alvaro Regalado rolled at the top spot, while No. 24
Matei Avram and
Zach Whaanga improved to 2-0 at second doubles.
Shao-Yu Yu and
Arnold Kokulewski wrapped up the sweep with a perfect match at the third spot.

Paul Sprengelmeijer played at the top singles spot for the Cougars on Friday, picking up a 6-0, 6-1 victory. The other five singles matches were clean sweeps at 6-0, 6-0.

Avram and
Jorge Vargas picked up their second wins of the year, moving up Friday to the second and third spots, respectively. Yu raced past his opponent at fourth singles, while Kokulewski did the same at fifth.

John-Wesley Carlson tallied his first collegiate victory in the sixth position on Friday to finish off the match.

Columbus State is back in action on Saturday, Feb. 17 against Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
