ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The sixth-ranked Columbus State University men's tennis team picked up its second top-10 victory of the week with a 7-2 win over No. 7 Flagler on Friday. The Peach Belt Conference match was played in St. Augustine, Fla.

Columbus State (12-2, 5-0) pairs the win with Wednesday's victory at fourth-ranked Lynn and now has four ranked victories this season.

The Cougars got rolling on Friday with wins at the top two doubles positions.
Zach Whaanga and
Alvaro Regalado dominated the sixth-ranked pair in the country 8-1 at the top spot and
KP Pannu and
Matei Avram added an 8-6 win at second.

Shao-Yu Yu and
Arnold Kokulewski fell in a tightly contested match 9-8 at third doubles.

Singles play saw much of the same as the Cougars dropped just one match.

Pannu tallied a ranked win 6-3, 6-3 at first singles, while Whaanga won easily 6-1, 6-2 at the second spot.

Regalado and Avram each turned in 7-5, 6-1 victories at third and fifth singles, respectively, with
Jorge Vargas winning 6-3, 6-4 in straight sets at sixth.
Flagler's only singles victory came over Kokulewski who fell 7-6, 0-6, 10-4.

Columbus State gets another ranked showdown on Sunday, as the Cougars return home to take on 12
th-ranked West Florida. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the John W. Walden Tennis Center.
