YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. - The Columbus State University men's basketball team fell to Young Harris College 93-69 on Wednesday night on the Mountain Lions home court.
Young Harris (3-4, 3-3 PBC) quickly took the lead within the first five minutes of play and kept it throughout the game. The Cougars fall to 4-5, (4-5 PBC).

Hunter Preston opened the game with a layup and a dunk by Anthony Moore gave CSU their only lead of the game, 4-2. Preston and Moore both led the Cougars with seven points in the half. The leading scorer for the Mountain Lions, Alphonso Willis, finished the half with 20 points and three assists. The Cougars shot 31% (9-for-29) from the floor, while Young Harris shot 57.6% (19-33). The half ended with a score of 50-27.

Despite the big lead from the Mountain Lions in the first half, Columbus State kept up with YHC in the second half, 42-43. Lederrius Jones nailed a 3-pointer within the first three minutes of play and about one minute later, Moore made his second dunk of the night, giving CSU some momentum. Lorenzo Anderson added another dunk for the Cougars with just under four minutes to play. YHC's Willis continued his scoring parade, scoring 11 more points in the half.
