SAINT LEO, Fla. - Five different players scored for the No. 10 Columbus State University women's soccer team as the Cougars recorded a 5-0 road victory at Saint Leo University on Wednesday.
The Cougars had their best offensive performance of the year, outshooting the Lions 20-3.
CSU (6-0-1) found the back of the net three times in the first half, with
Carley Canzoneri,
Lizz Forshaw and
Sydney Ormsby all scoring their first goals of the year. In the second half,
Vanessa Aviles made it 4-0 in the 69th minute, while
Emma Beddow scored her third goal of the year with six minutes reaming in the match. Beddow is now tied for the team's lead in goals.
Sara Halilhodzic and
Lizzie Hedrick recorded their fourth combined shutout.
