COLUMBUS - The No. 4 Columbus State University women's soccer team capped off its run to a Peach Belt Conference regular-season championship on Sunday with a 4-0 victory over the University of North Georgia.
A hat trick by graduate senior 
Rachael Sweigard powered the Cougars to the program's 14th PBC regular-season title. CSU will be the first seed in next week's PBC Tournament and will host the opening and semifinal round on Friday, Oct. 28 and Sunday, Oct. 30.
SCORING BREAKDOWN
• It didn't take long for Columbus State (14-1-1, 9-0-1 PBC) to get on the board. In the fourth minute, the Cougars were pressuring the UNG back line when a failed clearance landed at the feet of Sweigard. She rifled the shot across the box for the opening goal. 
• It was 1-0 at the break before Sweigard and the Cougars added some insurance. 
Maria Kilset played a dangerous ball in the box which found the head of Sweigard for the goal. 
• Sweigard capped off the hat trick in the 62nd minute after another nicely played ball from Kilset off a corner.
• Kilset tallied the final score in the 72nd minute. Kilset dribbled in from midfield before launching a shot around 30-yards out for her second goal of the year.

• Columbus State held a 12-8 shot advantage over North Georgia (9-3-3, 6-2-2). CSU had just three at the break.
• CSU held the ball for the majority of the match, garnering a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.
• Eight fouls were whistled on CSU compared to six on UNG.

Lizzie Hedrick and 
Sara Halilhodzic played scoreless for 45 minutes with three saves.
