AUGUSTA, Ga. - Six Columbus State University baseball players and head coach
Greg Appleton were honored on Thursday as the Peach Belt Conference announced the all-conference teams and end of the year awards.
Isaac Bouton,
Robert Brooks,
Steven Minter and
Derek Wylie were named to the All-PBC first team, while
Devin Dudal and
David Meadows were second-team selections.
In his 25th season at the helm of the Cougars, Appleton grabs his third PBC Coach of the Year award in his illustrious career.
The Cougars begin play in the 2022 PBC Championship on Friday at 3 p.m. against Young Harris College at Burger King Stadium.

1st Team SS - Issac Bouton
• 2nd career All-PBC first-team selection
• hitting .310 with 23 extra-base hits
• 4th in the PBC in runs (58), t-9th in triples (2) and t-9th in home runs (10)
• has 18 multi-hit games (t-2nd on the team)
• had a 21-game on-base streak during 2022 season
• was a 2021 All-American & PBC Freshman of the Year
1st Team C - Robert Brooks
• 3rd career All-PBC selection, 2nd first-team (2021)
• leads PBC in average (.385), on-base percentage (.519), OPS (1.240) and second in slugging (.721), RBIs (69) and home runs (16)
• 13th in DII in RBIs and 20th in walks (40)
• leads the club with 60 runs
• has driven in 5 runs in three different games
• has 17 multi-RBI games (tied for team lead)
• team-high 26 extra-base hits
• enters PBC semifinals with a 23-game on-base streak
• 2nd all-time in PBC history with 61 career homers
1st Team 1B - Steven Minter
• first career All-PBC selection
• inside the top-five in the PBC in average (.370), slugging (.642), OPS (1.096), RBIs (59) and homers (12)
• 10-for-11 in stolen base chances
• 20 extra-base hits
• enters PBC semifinals on an 11-game hitting streak
• has 17 multi-RBI games (tied for team lead)
• 2nd on the club with 25 extra-base hits
• 2021 PBC Tournament MVP
1st Team OF - Derek Wylie
• first career All-PBC selection
• hitting .332 with 15 homers and 51 RBIs
• tied for 3rd in PBC in homers, 5th in slugging (.636) and 9th in runs (51)
• two 2-homer games (vs. Ga. Southwestern & AUM)
• 2nd on the club with 25 extra-base hits
• enters PBC semifinals on a 10-game on-base streak
2nd Team 3B - David Meadows
• first career All-PBC selection
• hitting .319 with 10 doubles
• tied for 2nd in PBC with 21 stolen bases
• had a 10-game hitting streak earlier in the season
• 16 multi-hit games, including going 4-for-7 against Claflin University
2nd Team SP - Devin Dudal
• 2nd career All-PBC selection, 1st as a starting pitcher (2019 1st team RP selection)
• holds an 8-4 record with a 4.14 ERA in 14 starts
• is 3rd in the PBC in wins, 5th strikeouts (84) and 7th in opposing batting average
• had 2 double-digit strikeout games, including punching out a season-high 14 against Georgia Southwestern on April 1
• leads team with 76 innings pitched
• went 6-2 in conference play with a 1.22 WHIP
Coach of the Year - Greg Appleton
• winningest coach in PBC history (892-467)
