COLUMBUS - The list of former Cougars playing in the pros continues to grow as recent alumni Bryant Givens,
Devan Porter-Wilson and
Hunter Preston have joined the professional ranks over the recent weeks.
With the recent additions, 10 former Columbus State University men's basketball players are currently playing professionally.
"We in the Cougar family are so proud of these guys," stated head coach Robert Moore. "It means the world to them for the chance to fulfill their dreams playing basketball professionally. We wish them much success. Go Cougars!"
Here are the success from the former Cougars.
Arben Camaj
• plays for the Hague Royals in Holland
• averaged over 10.3 ppg during 2021-22 season
• also played in Armenia and Kosovo
Kenney Funderburk
• plays for CS Ploiesti in Romania
• averaged over 16.7 points for Kiryat Ata in the Israel league during the 2021-22 season
• has played in six different countries since going pro
Bryant Givens
• recently signed with the Lobos of the Caribbean League
Ty Harris
• played for Samara in Russia during the 2021-22 season
• has played in five different countries
Shane Heyward
• currently plays for Rans Pik in Indonesia
• averaging 14.3 ppg and 6.4 reb/g in 13 games this season
• has played in six different countries
Landrius Horton
• playing in Jamtland in Sweden for the 2022-23 season
• played in Macedonia before joining Jamtland
• averaged over 17 ppg in Macedonia last season
Brent Jackson
• played for Boncourt in Switzerland for the 2021-22 season
• averaged over 21.1 ppg, shooting over 345.7% from 3-pt range
• has played in four countries, including playing in 2020 The Basketball Tournament (TBT)
JaCori Payne
• played for Monthey in Switzerland during the 2021-22 season
• averaged 17.1 ppg and 5.1 assists/g
• has played in three different countries
Devan Porter-Wilson
• recently signed in Costa Rica
Hunter Preston
• recently joined Pichincha Potosi in Bolivia
