KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Columbus State University senior men's basketball standout
Marlon Smith has been named to the 2025–26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II All-District Southeast Team, as announced by the NABC. The honor recognizes Smith as one of the top performers in the Southeast Region and is voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division II.
Smith earned All-District recognition following an outstanding senior campaign in which he started all 32 games for the Cougars and served as a cornerstone of the team's success throughout the 2025–26 season. He averaged 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game, leading Columbus State in scoring while ranking among the top rebounders in the region.
Over the course of the season, Smith totaled 587 points and 266 rebounds, while logging 1,066 minutes (33.3 per game). He shot 44.4 percent (192-of-432) from the field, 33.5 percent (60-of-179) from three-point range, and 74.1 percent (143-of-193) from the free-throw line, showcasing his efficiency and versatility as a scorer.
In addition to his offensive production, Smith made a significant impact across all areas of the game. He recorded 54 assists, 58 steals, and 34 blocks, averaging 1.7 assists and 1.8 combined steals/blocks per game, demonstrating his ability to contribute on both ends of the floor.
Smith's All-District selection adds to an impressive list of accolades during his senior season and highlights his leadership and consistency as one of the premier players in the Southeast Region.
