No. 5 Cougars, Flagler Play to 1-1 Draw

Emma Beddow scored her fourth goal of the season on Saturday.

COLUMBUS - The No. 5 Columbus State University women's soccer team and Flagler College played to a 1-1 draw in a Peach Belt Conference showdown Saturday afternoon at the Walden Soccer Complex. 

SCORING BREAKDOWN
• It was Columbus State who took the opening lead in the 27th minute after Emma Beddow drew a foul inside the box while attacking down the far side of the field. The sophomore calmly rocketed the goal passed the outstretched arms of Madison North to put the Cougars up.
• The Saints evened things in the 57th minute when a great lead pass from Josefine Nilsen set-up Liz Hall's equalizer.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• Flagler (1-1-2, 0-0-1 PBC) outshot the Cougars 17-9. The Saints knocked two shots off the post in the first half.
• CSU (3-1-1, 0-0-1) was whistled for 16 fouls, while the Saints committed 12.
• Beddow had four of CSU's nine shots. Lauren Barnes and Sage Smith each had two.
Lizzie Hedrick played a scoreless first half, including making a save. Sara Halilhodzic allowed one goal, while stopping three shots
