GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Columbus State University women's soccer team defeated Tusculum University 5-0 on Sunday, Oct. 1 at Pioneer Field and freshman
Kendal Coreil tallied her first hat trick of her collegiate career. The Cougars improve to 4-3-1 while the Pioneers fall to 1-6-1.
Sarah Hungerford started the scoring after finding the back of the net in the 16th minute.
Coreil then scored her first goal of the game in the 23rd minute, assisted by
Lizz Forshaw. Just three minutes later, Coreil did it again, scoring her second goal of the day and
Anna Grady grabbed the assist. The freshman from Panama City Beach collected her third goal in the 33rd minute, unassisted.
In the second half,
Abigail Akerson found the goal to make it 5-0, assisted by
Brooke Yount.
Tusculum had no shots on goal and only three shots.
