JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Senior
Anna Grady led the Columbus State University women's soccer team to a 3-0 road game victory over Carson-Newman University Monday, Oct. 23. The Cougars improve to 11-3-1 and the Eagles fall to 6-6-2.
Grady scored both goals in the first half to put the Cougars ahead 2-0. Her first goal she went head-to-head against the goalkeeper to put CSU on the scoreboard in just the first two minutes of the match. In the 27th minute, she scored again off of a turnover by Carson-Newman.
In the second half at the 71st minute mark,
Vanessa Aviles made it 3-0 with a header off the crossbar, assisted by
Emma Beddow.
Columbus State out shot Carson-Newman 14-10 (9-3 SOG) and CNU forced three more corner kicks than the Cougars.

Lizzie Hedrick recorded three saves for CSU.
