COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University men's basketball team cruised past Edward Waters University in their home opener Wednesday night, defeating the Tigers 85-62 and improving to 3-0. The Tigers fall to 0-2.
The Cougars outscored EWU in both halves, leading 41-25 after the first and 44-37 in the second. Senior
Wisdom Uboh led Columbus State with 17 points, shooting 5-for-7 from the field and behind the three-point line. The guard also was a perfect 2-for-2 from the charity line.
Jarrett Adderton and
Joshua Jerome also scored in the double-digits for the Cougars; Adderton tallied 15 points and six rebounds, while Jerome scored 12 and grabbed five rebounds. Adderton was a perfect 2-for-2 from behind the arc and 3-for-3 from the free-throw line.
Eight Cougars scored in the single-digits, including
Marquis Davison (9) and
Jydon Hall (7), who led CSU in assists with four.
