COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University men's basketball team fell to Lenoir-Rhyne University 57-63 Saturday afternoon inside the Lumpkin Center. The Cougars drop to 3-1 while the Bears improve to 2-1.
Columbus State outscored Lenoir-Rhyne 25-20 in the first half but could not break Lenoir-Rhyne's defense in the second half. The Bears outscored the Cougars 43-32 in the final 20 minutes of play to secure their second win of the season.
Only two Cougars scored in double-digits, including
Jarrett Adderton (11) and
Wisdom Uboh (10).
Joshua Jerome added nine points and
Marquis Davison scored eight.
CSU shot 37.9 percent from the field, 29.0 from three-point range and 36.4 from the free-throw line.

The Cougars will be back in action in UNCP's Give Thanks Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 25 and Sunday, Nov. 26 in Pembroke, N.C. CSU will play Chowan University and UNC Pembroke.
