DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Columbus State University men's basketball team had another thrilling victory in the Bahama House Classic hosted by Embry-Riddle University. The Cougars defeated Palm Beach Atlantic University 72-70 Sunday afternoon to extend CSU's win streak to two and overall record to 6-3.
Columbus State had another come-back win, trailing 38-42 after the first half of play. In the second half, however, the Cougars were able to hold PBA to only 28 points while CSU scored 34.
Jehloni James had a huge game for CSU, scoring 20 points and grabbing eight rebounds. The senior forward shot 80 percent (8-10) from the field and was a perfect 100 percent (2-2) from three-point range.
Joshua Jerome also scored in the double-digits for the Cougars, tallying 11 points and recording five rebounds. Jerome shot 66 percent (4-6) from the field and 75 percent (3-4) from the charity stripe.
Marquis Davison and
Kordell Brown each scored nine points,
Wisdom Uboh and
Roman Son each had eight points and
Jarrett Adderton added seven.
