AUGUSTA, Ga. - Columbus State University men's basketball player Nelson Haskin was named the Peach Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year and also earned All-PBC Second Team honors.

Haskin is a key part of the second-ranked scoring defense in the PBC. A graduate student forward from Demopolis, Ala., he is ranked second in the Peach Belt in blocks, fourth in rebounding and 14th in steals.

The PBC Player of the Week on Dec. 12, he also leads CSU in scoring with 11.2 points per game and had three double-doubles on the season.

Haskin becomes the second PBC player to ever repeat as the Defensive Player of the Year, joining Clayton State's Alfonso Davis in 2016 and 2017.
