Track & Field Completes First Day at Emory

Senior Jackson Fulks placed second in the long jump.

ATLANTA - The Columbus State University track and field program competed the first day of the Thrills in the Hills on Friday, March 24, hosted by Emory University.

Men:
  • Senior Jackson Fulks placed second in the long jump, jumping 6.97 meters (22'10.50").
  • Sophomore Justin Love threw the javelin 47.82 meters (156'10) to take third place.
  • Sophomore Jailen Dalton placed sixth in the 200 meters crossing the finish line in 21.94 sec.
  • Sophomore Dante Walls and Junior Gary Grimes once again pushed each other to the finish line in the 400 meter hurdles. Walls leaned across the line at 55.83 seconds and Grimes was on his heals, finishing at 56.07 seconds.
Women:
  • Sophomore Royal Delay crossed the line at 5:06.95 in the 1500 meter run, clocking in a personal best in the event.
  • Delay is scheduled to run on the 4x400 meter relay team tomorrow. 
UP NEXT
Day two of Thrills in the Hills will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, beginning with the men's pole vault.
