COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University baseball team welcomes Peach Belt Conference foe North Georgia for a three-game series at Ragsdale Field starting on Friday, March 10 at 5 p.m. The Cougars come in with a record of 15-3 (8-1 PBC) and the Nighthawks enter with a 10-8 overall record and 4-5 inside the PBC.
For the Cougars, they enter on a four game win streak with their most recent win coming against the Montevallo Falcons on March 8 by a score of 4-0.
Derek Wylie leads the Cougars in batting average, OPS, hits, triples, homerun's and slugging percentage.
Matthew McDade has the most RBI's for CSU and he leads the Peach Belt in that category. Columbus State looks to continue their hot stretch where they are now first in the PBC in team batting average, team homerun's, and team RBI's.
Pitching wise, they are second in the PBC in team era at 3.57.
Noah Windhorst is sixth in the conference with a 2.30 era and he is third in the conference with 31.1 innings pitched. His teammate,
Colton Joyner, is seventh in era in the conference at 2.48 and he's also seventh with 29 innings pitched.

Cole English, and
Ryan Suppa lead a dominate bullpen as they have a combined 26 strikeouts in 27.1 innings of work.Â
For the Nighthawks, Jace Bowen leads the Peach Belt with a batting average of .440 while Riley Frost leads UNG with 16 RBI's on the season. North Georgia is third in total pitching as they have a ringer in Matthew Heard. Heard is second in era at 1.55 and he is coming off an outing against Augusta in which he threw a complete game shutout with five strikeouts. He is also the reigning PBC Pitcher of the Week and NCBWAÂ Southeast Region Pitcher of the Week.Â
