HARROGATE, Tenn. - The No. 17 Columbus State University women's soccer team defeated Lincoln Memorial University 2-0. on Sunday, Sept. 10 at the LMU Soccer Field. With the win, the Cougars are now 1-2 and LMU falls to 3-1.
Emma Beddow scored in the 10th minute to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead, assisted by
Lauren Barnes. The game was scoreless until the second half when freshman
Kendal Coreil scored her first collegiate goal in the 72nd minute.
Faith Knoedler assisted Coreil to give some cushion to the Cougars.
Columbus State out shot the Railsplitters 24-3 (10-2 SOG).
Heidi Harris recorded one save in goal for the Cougars.

The Cougars will travel to Valdosta, Ga. on Wednesday, Sept. 13 to play a neutral site game against Rollins College at 2 p.m.
