COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University men's basketball team fell to the University of North Georgia 79-82 Saturday afternoon inside the Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center. With the loss, CSU falls to 8-5 (2-2 PBC) and UNG improves to 13-1 (4-0 PBC).
North Georgia outscored Columbus State 36-29 in the first half and even though the Cougars outscored the Nighthawks 50-46 in the second, it wasn't enough to secure the win.
Jarrett Adderton led CSU with 15 points while
Jehloni James tallied 13 and
Wisdom Uboh scored 12. As a team, the Cougars shot 44.4 percent (28-63) from the field, 45.0 percent (9-20) from three-point range and 70 percent (14-20) from the free-throw line.
North Georgia's Cayden Charles scored 20 points and four other Nighthawks scored in the double-digits.
