MORROW, Ga. - The Columbus State University men's basketball team defeated Peach Belt Conference rival Clayton State University 69-66 Wednesday night on the road. With the win, the Cougars improve to 9-5 (3-2 PBC) and the Lakers fall to 5-10 (1-4 PBC).
Both teams were back-and-forth throughout the entirety of the game. After trailing 32-35 at the end of the first half, the Cougars outscored the Lakers 37-31 in the second half to steal the victory.
Wisdom Uboh led the Cougar offense with 18 points while
Jarrett Adderton scored 16 points.
Marquis Davison also added 11 points and seven rebounds.
Uboh was perfect from the free-throw line (6-6) and shot 50 percent from the field (4-8) and 57 percent from behind the arc (4-7). Columbus State shot 88.5 percent from the charity stripe, 40 percent from the three-point line and 35.2 percent from the field.
