COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University men's basketball team fell to Peach Belt Conference foe Flagler College 85-88 in overtime Wednesday night inside the Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center. With the loss, CSU drops to 9-7 (3-4 PBC) and FC improves to 11-6 (4-3 PBC).

The Saints controlled the first half offensively, outscoring the Cougars 40-33 to head into halftime. After the half, Columbus State got a spark, outscoring FC 42-35, and tying the game at 70 with just under three minutes to play.

With 29 seconds left in the second half, Wisdom Uboh made a three-pointer to give the Cougars a two-point lead, and some hope to run away with the home win. However, a foul with seven seconds left put Flagler on the free-throw line where they sent the game into overtime.

The Saints scored within the first two seconds of the new period and that momentum carried throughout the rest of the five minutes, outscoring the Cougars 13-10.

Jarrett Adderton led CSU with 23 points and Uboh scored 22. Marquis Davison added 18 points and eight rebounds.
