COLUMBUS – The top-seeded and second-ranked Columbus State Women's Soccer team competes on Sunday afternoon for a chance to host the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Championship on Dec. 1.
The Lady Cougars (20-0-1) defeated Francis Marion on Friday afternoon to advance to Sunday's 3 p.m. ET second round match versus Catawba (N.C.). The fourth-seeded Catawba Indians (11-2-5) advanced with a 3-0 win over Flagler (Fla.) on Friday.
Both Columbus State and Catawba met earlier this season at the Walden Soccer Complex with the Lady Cougars taking a 3-2 win back on Oct. 9. CSU holds a 5-2-1 record over Catawba and looks to continue with another victory on Sunday.
First kick is set for 3 p.m. ET from the Walden Soccer Complex.
