ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Columbus State University men's basketball team lost to Flagler College 73-78 on the road Wednesday night. CSU falls to 12-12 (6-9 PBC).
The Cougars led the Saints 36-29 going into halftime, but Flagler came out after the break to outscore CSU 49-37 to win the Peach Belt Conference match up. The Saints took the lead for the first time in the second half with about 15 minutes left. The Cougars continued to fight, but it wasn't enough as Flagler controlled the last three minutes of play.
Jarrett Adderton scored 26 points to lead the CSU offense.
Caleb Byrd tallied 13 points and
Kordell Brown and
Marquis Davison each scored 10 points. Brown was just short of a double-double, grabbing nine rebounds.
Columbus State shot 69.2 from the free-throw line, 49 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from behind the three-point line.
