Mount Berry, Ga. - The Columbus State Track & Field program will open the 2024 outdoor season at the Victor Icebreaker Duals held at Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga., on Saturday, March 2.

The men's and women's teams capped off the 2023 season with 2nd place finishes in the Peach Belt Conference Track & Field Championship.

The Victor Ice Breaker Duals will begin at 9 a.m. with the men's javelin and women's shot put. Justin Love, the 2023 Conference Champion in the discus throw, will be competing in the javelin throw, along with teammates Collin McKinnon and Mason Thomas. Freshman throwers Dana McDaniel and Kayli Miller will make their college debut in the women's shot put.

Other CSU student-athletes scheduled to compete include the 2023 PBC Men's Field Athlete of the Year, Tereil Mitchum; Mitchum was also the 2023 shot put Conference Champion. The 2023 PBC 400-meter hurdle Conference Champion, Dante Walls, and the 2023 PBC 110-meter-high hurdle Champion, Gary Grimes, will also be in action.
